With Commingling, the same fleet can carry both microtransit and paratransit rides while retaining each of their respective service models. By utilizing this feature, microtransit riders can be picked up and dropped off at virtual stops while paratransit riders are picked up and dropped off at doorsteps.
Leveraging multiple service models within a single fleet, riders can be offered different stop type, wait time, onboard time and many other service parameters based on seat types, known passenger lists, origin, destination, zones, or time or day of the week.
Through seat optimization, RideCo optimizes vehicle configurations in real-time based on the passengers in the system. By ensuring vehicles are always operating at maximum capacity while providing a comfortable and convenient experience for passengers, this approach allows for increased efficiency and cost savings for transportation systems.
